Quick note to all, today we are proud to announce the launch of our parent site, the nationally focused Dirt Diver.

Over the past year, the state of Kansas has served admirably as a proving ground for the concept – one of the most surprising things we learned in the process was that people didn’t understand the point of the site at first.  Many thought it was a campaign sponsored site designed to attack one candidate to benefit another.  While that happened a lot (sorry, Rob Wasinger), that was never the intent.

Much of what we do at Dirt Diver is driven by user submissions, tips and breaking news. We’ve broken some great stories here over the past year, scooping the Kansas media on:

• Christian Morgan’s resignation from the Kansas GOP
• The financial troubles of the Kansas Republican Party
• The none-too-soon departure of KSGOP Executive Director CiCi Rojas
• The campaign shake up of Jerry Moran

And we plan to keep breaking stories as long as you keep sending them our way.  But another challenge in Kansas was that there just isn’t THAT much going on here in the Sunflower State.  With only four Congressional districts and a boring governor’s race, there hasn’t been that much news, although as election season heats up, things have gotten more interesting.

That said, we’ll continue to keep a close eye on the Sunflower State, but we really need YOU to keep submitting tips, doctored photos, etc.
